I do not think I have ever planned for Plan B. Usually my Plan B appears spontaneously. I don't think ahead of "what if" the digital tool breaks down. A lesson with students should be delivered as smooth as possible. Working with students, there are other challenges that may not make a lesson go as smooth as how us teachers want it to be. However, there are ways to minimize these risks. For instance with digital technologies, teachers can assume or predict what could break down during a lesson. Hence, planning for Plan B is a great idea! It can help teachers remain calm and still be prepared when a break down happens.
As Ms. Milne mentions in her blog post, seeking help from other people such as the ICT department is also one of the way for Plan B. This clearly shows that thinking ahead of the possible break downs can cut off the amount of time wasted during a lesson. Mr. Marcinek mentioned that the Plan B should also engage students in active learning.
Next on, I will be thinking of Plan B ahead of my lessons. Its a better way for me to be confident when conducting lessons with the students.
