I read through the scary stories and it was horrifying to know. I shall just share with you the positive things that happened in a digital world. Martha's story shed light of how a digital world can cause a big impact for a young person. She gave her opinion about the school's food that she usually have in her blog post. To everyone's surprise (and I'm sure to herself too), her post has created a massive awareness.
I myself have never created awareness in the digital world but I am aware of an issue rising in my country through his facebook page. He does a lot of charity work and conduct events to create awareness. Latest, people have been writing to him via facebook direct messages about sexual abuse. He has helped a lot of people to further their investigations. I myself have come to realize of the high number of cases occurred. I agree that digital world helps create awareness which can further a positive cause such as helping people in need.
I believe that the digital world work wonders. Despite the scary things people do online, a lot of people are using ICT for the right reasons. Scamming is undoubtedly happening such as the cat fished case about Mr. Alec Couros.
Reporter, Ms. Soteriou highlighted the various things that went viral. Reading through their viral stories, it does show the impacts of things that occur via the digital world.
I'd like to take and use the digital world positively. Some of the things I do offline to help people for the better, I would like to do the same in this digital world.
