Reading about Part B for assignment 3, the task is quite interesting for me especially the second part of it. The second part of part B wants me to write my approaches that I will be using to plan ICT integration for my lesson plans.
I am used to creating lesson plans as I work while I am studying. However I am not sure if I used any particular theory or system to do it. Instead, I just fill in as the template flows. In short, I did not have a strategy when creating a lesson plan.
After learning a few courses I do realize that my way of planning a lesson does link to a theory or a process. It may not entirely follow a particular process but bits of the steps are in common. I think by using a particular valid process for planning will enhance my plan to be more compact for the student's learning.
Conctructivism learning theory helps teachers to further student's learning as students will develop new concepts prior to their learning. Then students will use their learning and apply it to new situations. This steps also is similar to the Bloom's Taxonomy.
Agreeing with Pamelagovender25, lesson plan makes me feel confident when executing a lesson. I would feel that the execution of the lesson is effective for the teacher and hopefully for the students as well. I shall now do lesson planning using a valid theory or process in mind.

Sarah

Reflecting my professional experience
I am participating in this forum sharing about my previous professional experience and the one I will be facing next week.
The top 2 challenges/ problems/ mistakes that I have faced prior to professional experience are:
The top 2 challenges/ problems/ mistakes that I have faced prior to professional experience are:
1. Not having enough ICT tools for all students
2. I usually do mistakes when linking theories to my write up
The top 2 fears I have about my EDC3100 professional experience are:
1. Keeping up with my daily reflections
2. Doing my lesson plans wrongly

Weather
I did this activity. This activity opened up my perspective on how a common ICT can make us learn from elsewhere that are thousand of miles away from our classroom. Below is the photo I took in Selangor, Malaysia and I sent it to flickr.
Then I got my relative to send a photo of the weather of where she was and she sent me this:
This was a shot she had taken in Svalbard. Her captions as below:
"This was taken on our morning hike at 7.30am in the bay of Reliktbukta in Svalbard on 8-Sep-2016. The location is 80° North, a few hundred kilometres from the North Pole. It was a cold landing with temperature below 0°C. The air was fresh and crisp, the day-old snow making crunchy sound underfoot, so clean you can scoop it and let it melt in the mouth to quench our thirst as we walked up the slope and back, a distance of 6km. There was a low fog hanging over the horizon, dark over the water and white over land reflecting the colours below."
I mentioned earlier that we can learn beyond our physical classroom. For instance the topic is Weather. All photos submitted to that particular email will be organized and can be viewed at flickr's technology in learning page. You should be able to see the pictures above and many more submitted by other students, there.

Sarah

My learning objectives
I am now doing my unit plan. Below are my learning objectives:
Constructing knowledge objectives:
Earth and space sciences
- Observable changes occur in the sky and landscape (ACSSU019)
Transforming knowledge objectives:
Processing and
analysing data and information
- Use a range of methods to sort information, including drawings and provided tables and through discussion, compare observations with predictions (ACSIS027)
- · Compare observations with those of others(ACSIS213)
My learning area is Year 1 Science and I am using the Australian Curriculum for my unit plan.
Below are the criterias from Year 1 Standard Elaborations (SEs) for my chosen content descriptions:
Understanding dimension/ Science understanding
Understanding dimension/ Science as human endevaour
Skills dimension/ Questioning and predicting
Skills dimension/ Planning and conducting & Processing and analysing data and information
Skills dimension/ Evaluating and communicating
Now I need to struck out things that are not connected to my learning content descriptions. Below are the revised ones:
Understanding dimension/ Science understanding
Understanding dimension/ Science as human endeavor
Skills dimension/ Planning and conducting & Processing and analyzing
data and information
Skills dimension/ Evaluating and communicating
Understanding dimension/ Science as human endeavor
Skills dimension/ Planning and conducting & Processing and analyzing data and information
Skills dimension/ Evaluating and communicating
