Practising my schema

I thought I could write anything for my blog post for this course. Which I could! But, here is the recommended way of writing a blog post which is to do reflections.

Two of the 5 elements bothered me as I couldn't make my way to understand them. Below are the elements that I did not understand:

• point #3 Critical analysis- how do I question my assumptions/ values/ believes? I don't think I am used to questioning things too much

•  point #5 An outcome of reflection- a summary of what I learned? I think I do learn something from articles I read but I am really unsure of how do I write it down? To me, what I learn is just "so simple" that I get the feeling of "is-that-considered-learning? how-do-I-note-it-down"? 

I worked my way to clarify those 2 issues by talking to some people.

I'd like to give a shot and re-do a reflection on technology being digital.

Seeing the terms analog technology and digital technology brings up a point in my mind. These two terms remind me the definition of technology which I used to misunderstand it.

My definition of technology are tools that's only related to ICT such as the computers, mobile phones, television, food blender and speakers. However, I learned from the Identify the ICT quiz  that ICT was so different than what I thought it was and I wrote about it too.

I believed that technology are ICT tools. However according to my initial concept of ICT I find that my definition of technology contradicts. Why is this? It is because an object may be of a technology but it does not necessary mean its an ICT tool.

For an instance, an analog watch is a technology but is not an ICT tool. To be exact, it is an analog technology. "When we say something is analog, we often simply mean that it's not digital: the job it does, or the information it handles, doesn't involve processing numbers electronically."
However, a smart watch is a digital technology. Digital technology means the object is an ICT as the works in it are computerized. Technology does not simply mean ICT. Technology according to dictionary.com   is the creation and use of technical means which has the connection to various aspects such as environment, art, social and science. What about analog technology and digital technology?

I shall now define technology as a form of tool of various aspects. Technology has now involve ICT and the term has grown from an analog technology to digital technology.

Technology being digital

What does a technology (an ICT) being digital means?

"Technology" itself does not define ICT. So, what is technology?
I'd like to answer this and am excited to do so as I found a clearer picture to this. This article helped me to see the bigger picture of digital technology. Understanding the article was easy because the explanation for analogy technology reveals the behind-the-scene for digital technology.

I recently found out about Snapchat filters and how it works. So to read about digital technology , my points of knowledge gained here and there starts to connect! It makes sense to me as I've sort of seen how digits are used in software.

Is face recognition technology similar to finger print recognition for passports? It is said that face recognition technology has more fine benefits as it can recognize a figure from a far. (NEC) Despite that, there are some things that digital technology can't translate. Hence, the usage of both digital technology and analogy technology should be hand in hand when it comes to delivering lessons to the children.

Identify the ICT quiz

I took the Identify The ICT Quiz. I scored 3/10. I think its pretty bad but its ok because I learnt something out of it.

When answering the quiz, the concept of ICT that I had in mind was technologies with the purpose of communicating. Communicate as in human to human or communicate as in sending information, data or details. After getting the results, I knew my concept was WRONG! I did feel a little disappointed though. First quiz- FAIL. Bad start Sarah, bad start. haha

I then looked at the reviews for my answers and I figured the correct way to picture ICT. I understand now that ICT also means digital technologies. I looked for more review from other students and I develop further understanding for the ICT concept.

The Evil

If you notice, or if this comes out right, I am writing in a different font. Not in the font I would usually choose. No it's not hormones, its not anger, its emotions. Bad ones. Or maybe it is hormones?

Why am I titling this The Evil?
Because that is how I am feeling. Evil. At the same time I know that I shouldn't, that I should recite Zikir more often. I just felt a little calmer after reminding myself to zikir more often.

I shall change the font of my typing as I feel calmer now. As calm as this:

Oh wait, what Evil-ish was I feeling earlier? Ah never mind! I shall get back to think good and be good.

Dark sky is unnessecarily means bad

I'm feeling a little bit under the weather now. Feeling fine then feverish. That sort. Its been on and off for a couple of days already. Is it maybe because I miss home so much that I haven't been sleeping there for many days already.

I am literally conquering my sister's room as she is away at the moment for a few weeks. I love the environment in her room that makes me just want to write and write! To the right and left where my eyes move I see green *as in NATURE* Yippiee. 

Anyhow I do see green when using laptop at my house. *green walls* huhh. Anyhow I am grateful for my house as there are times (lots of it) that I justwannastayathome-don't makemestayanywhereelse! So yes, my house is comfortable too and I love it. Grateful to our Creator.

As of today, while typing this I am curious as to how do I use emoticons in my blog posts? Any idea?? I feel incomplete expressing my emotions here. #@&*^#@(%&(#@- thats not showing angry, that's showing my incapability to express correctly!

First blog of the year?

Have I blogged this year? Can see that I have no memory of it. 
*I'll check the dates later*

I haven't been using my laptop when doing things online. Been using the touch screenssss. Focusing on the 's' coz I do miss typing on a keyboard. It feels like 'aaah, I can finally feel my fingers again' 

*looks at fingers and blow them a kiss*
 I am blessed with the fingers on my hands. I am starting my class very soon so Mr Keyboard and I will be spending some quality time together *hiks* 

Today was a happy day. I  held myself back several weeks from speaking to mom about my studies thinking that "ahhh I can handle this. Discreetly do the course and surprise her with my results" but oh, how I was wrong! I finally spoke to her and blessed, it felt sooo much better than holding back. Didn't expect that it would make me feel any different though. *oh well, mothers*

I also encountered a little frustration as the iPad could not discover the Jambox. This just have to happen when I am all excited!!

I seek help online and I managed to marry the iPad with the Jambox. Yippiie!!

Going to enjoy my music now <3
